Food at PUF
THE FOLLOWING IS A LIST OF DO'S AND DON'TS...
We ask for contributions of food from you. This is so that we can feed everyone well.
We appreciate the efforts that you have made to comply with this in the past. We could not pull off the amazing feasts at PUF without you.
Bring contributions of a loaf of bread or a bag of rolls and a bag of fruit; that can be apples, oranges, bananas or any mixture thereof, some folks even bring mixed-frozen fruit.
Bring a covered dish that will serve a small portion to twenty-five people. A casserole in a 9x13 pan will do the trick. Put this casserole in a disposable aluminum pan, it is simply too difficult to wash and return your "Aunt Lilly's" egg plate to you. Your casserole can contain meat, no-meat or can be vegan, that is up to you.
We ask that you do not bring "Family Sized" frozen entrees. They are large, they are frozen and they have to be cooked. It takes much too long and we simply do not have the prep time. We ask that you bring a cooked casserole that only needs to be warmed up, or one that can be served cold.
If you are stumped for something to bring, think of the side dishes that you and your family prepare for holiday dinners such as; mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, green bean casserole, baked beans, country cooked green beans, corn, dressings, turnip greens and desserts. You could be a bit more elaborate and bring tuna casserole, chicken and dumplings or a Family Pack of B-B-Q with the trimmings.
Because there are people with allergies, we ask that you printout this ingredients form, fill it out and tape it to your casserole contribution. That way we know what is in your casserole and there are no accidents. Thank you so much for your contributions, we could not do it with out you!
