It is dedicated to all those folks saw Close Encounters one too many times and said

"I been anal-probed!"

The theme for this year is

Mardi Gras, again

just because we can!

 

 

THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW

  • On Thursday evening there will be a Rangoli Workshop!
  • There will be an opening ritual!
  • There will be a Mardi Gras parade!
  • There will be a floats!
  • Each float will be dedicated to a past PUF mascot, in case you have forgotten; Bagels, Pig heads, Sheep, Penguins, Flamingos, Chihuahuas, Frogs, Flying Pig and Aliens!
  • If you would like to crew a float, bring your decorations!
  • To get into the spirit, you might bring a wagon to decorate!
  • There will be a prize for the best float!
  • There will be a Mardi Gras party in the main hall after the parade!
  • There will be music from Lucidian!
  • A hot sauce contest!
  • Trivial Pursuit!
  • Prizes!
  • Uncle Murv will read us a story!

MORE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW

This year we will be filming the festival, let me repeat that. This year we will be filming the festival!

If you do not want to appear on camera, don't worry, there will be red zones (filming) and blue zones (safe from filming) clearly marked, you only have to pay attention. We will be filming workshops, rituals and the wedding (see below). No children will be filmed. Permission to use your image will be included in the waiver.

Why in the name of gods are we doing this? Good question and we have a good answer.

1. You can't get to every workshop, now you won't miss anything.

2. Not everyone can actually come to PUF and now they won't miss anything.

3. Most of the folks on staff don't get to go to any of the workshops and now we won't miss anything.

4. No other festival is doing it, we will be the first.

5. We have a professional (do not try this at home) camera team.

6. Because we can.
